Bill Childs is a radio host on station KUTX who puts on a regular show called Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child. The show is geared towards kids but highlights contemporary indie bands. As of this post, the show appears on 98.9 KUTX every Sunday at 6 p.m.

"Throw in book reviews and exclusive in-studios from dozens of artists, including the likes of Mates of State, Jonathan Coulton, Asylum Street Spankers, Dan Zanes, Dog on Fleas, Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem, Elizabeth Mitchell, They Might Be Giants, and many more, and you’ve got an idea of what the show is about. One thing it’s not is your typical kids’ programming.
